Expanding muscles are the muscles that open your hands. Undertraining these muscles cause imbalances that hurt performance & can cause pain & injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome and tennis elbow. As with any exercise we suggest starting out light and working your way into heavier resistance both during the workout and as a long range training plan as you build strength. Light Resistance: great for rehab and if you are just starting out with working your hands.
